Team Jigsaw are so pleased to be evolving the important work we do and supporting young people to excel and thrive through our online tutoring services.
There are limited private 1:1 slots available throughout the year so we strongly advise you to get in touch early and express your interest.
Our tutors are highly educated, experienced in their field and passionate about student progress as well as their overall health and wellbeing. All of our tutors undergo extensive security checks and on-going training and support to ensure they continue to provide an outstanding service.
We are advocates for excellent literacy teaching and we ensure all of our sessions incorporate development opportunities in reading, writing, speaking and listening. We also are passionate about improving the skills and behaviours of our young people and we also ensure there are ample opportunities to improve areas such as resilience, independence, team work, confidence, self-esteem and leadership etc.
"In addition to the other services we offer there's something special about working 1:1 with a young person. I love building relationships with my students (and their parents) and working on not only their academic abilities but developing other skills and behaviours such as: resilience, leadership, self-esteem etc. There's something magical that occurs when you get to know a student's strengths and areas of development and you work with them to be the best they can be."
Primary (Key Stage 1)
Years 1 to 2 (5-7 years old)
Early years education is the most pivotal moment of a child's educational journey.
This is where it all begins.
Our tutors ensure that learning is fun, creative and engaging so children can develop a love for learning and increase their confidence, resilience and independence.
Primary (Key Stage 2) and 11+
Years 3 to 6 (7-11 years old)
Transitioning from primary to secondary school is a big change for any young person. We also tend to forget that there is a significant time out of education after primary school ends and before secondary schools begins due to the long summer holidays.
If you would like your child to prepare for the next step in their educational journey then we are here to support them be the best they can be. We are also here to support you (parents, guardians and carers) to have one less thing to worry about.
Secondary (Key Stage 3 English & Maths)
Years 7 to 9 (11-14 years old)
Investing in your child's learning is one of the most impactful investments you can make.
Our team have worked with students who are falling behind in their studies, students who are coasting along, those who need that extra push and students who are extremely able but still need that extra boost of confidence and reassurance.
If you find that your child fits into any of the above, get in touch.
Secondary (Key Stage 4 GCSE English & Maths
Years 10 to 11 (14-16 years old)
We bet you have been thinking "wow, time has flown and my little boy or girl is no longer my little baby!"
Am we right?
We can guarantee that you're not the only parent of a 15 or 16 year old who has thought that. However, it's important to know that your child needs that extra support now more than ever before. Don't leave it to the last minute.Get in touch to find out how we can help.
Post 16 (KS5 6th Form/College) - Literacy & Study Skills
Years 12 to 13 (16-18 years old)
It's hard leaving secondary education and progressing into 6th form, college or an apprenticeship. The level of support is different and there's a bigger emphasis on independent learning.
If you find that your child is struggling to read the texts required, or complete the assignments and written work as a result of their literacy we can help.
We are also experienced in supporting adult learners with their literacy.
